Position: Safety Officer

Project: Thermal Power Plant / FGD Project

Location: Ennore, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Experience: Minimum 2–5 Years in Thermal Power Plant / FGD / Industrial Projects

Joining: Immediate Joiner Preferred

Qualification

- B.Sc. Chemistry / Physics with ADIS / PDIS
- B.Tech / B.E. Electrical Engineering with ADIS / PDIS
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering with ADIS / PDIS
- Recognized safety qualification is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at the thermal power plant site.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and audits.
- Monitor electrical, mechanical, erection, commissioning, FGD and other construction activities for protected execution.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety requirements.
- Identify hazards and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Risk Assessment for ongoing activities.
- Ensure compliance with work permits, LOTO, height work, confined space, hot work and lifting operations.
- Investigate incidents,



near misses and unsafe conditions and prepare corrective/preventive action reports.
- Maintain daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports and safety documentation.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, workers and client safety teams.
- Conduct emergency preparedness, fire safety and evacuation drills.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and client safety requirements.
- Stop unsafe work where necessary and ensure corrective action before resumption.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of thermal power plant and FGD project safety practices.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and construction safety.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle site-level safety documentation and workforce safety awareness.
- Willingness to work at project site and in shifts as required.
