Job Purpose The role is expected to progress from execution of HSE activities to ownership of HSE systems by ensuring compliance through below Key Responsibilities. 2.
Key Responsibilities A. HSE Management System &
- Compliance • Support periodic review of HSE procedures and operational controls.
- Maintain the HSE management, PPE inventory & audits/inspection records.
- Participate in internal, external HSE audits/ Inspections. B. Risk Assessment &
- Operational Safety • Conduct & review the Risk Assessment (HIRA/JSA) for non-routine activities.
- Audit the critical safety system for effective implementation.
- Be vigilant to proactively identify unsafe conditions, behaviours.
- Participate in pre-start-up safety reviews wherever applicable. C.
Contractor Safety
Management • Conduct contractor induction and field compliance checks for PTW &
- PPE.
- Conduct periodic contractor HSE performance reviews and communicate.
- Intervene and stop work where an unacceptable safety risk is observed. D.
Emergency
Preparedness &
- Response • Coordinate fire, chemical spill, evacuation and other emergency drills.
- Maintain emergency equipment inspection and readiness programs.
- Coordinate training of Emergency Response Teams. E.
Environmental
Management • Support identification and review of workplace aspects and impacts.
- Monitor waste generation, segregation, storage and disposal practices.
- Coordination for the environmental monitoring and compliance records.
- ETP &
- STP plant operational review & monitoring the performance. F.
Safety
Culture • Coordinate Safety Week campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
- Promote active reporting of hazards and safety improvement suggestions.
- Support behavioural safety and employee participation initiatives.
- Communicate incident learnings and preventive measures at contractor level.

Qualification &
Experience Education • Diploma in any discipline or Graduate in Chemistry/Physics/Environment.
- Postgraduate qualification in Industrial Safety from recognized Institution.
Experience 4-5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within:
- Manufacturing/ Process industries • Automotive or similar industries Required Technical Competencies • Height, Confined Space, Hot work • Lockout-Tagout &
- Machine Safety • Emergency equipment operation • Chemical Safety / SDS • Basic MS Office
