Role Description The Rural Livelihoods role is a full-time, on-site position based in Khairagarh. The role involves working directly with women farmers and producer groups to support sustainable agriculture practices, including training, field visits, and participatory planning. Day-to-day tasks include facilitating community meetings, documenting livelihood activities, supporting implementation of value chain interventions, and coordinating with local stakeholders and partners.

The role also includes monitoring progress of farmer groups, maintaining records and reports, and sharing feedback with the management team to improve livelihoods programs.



The position requires regular travel within nearby villages and active engagement with community members in field settings.

Qualifications

- Experience in rural development, agriculture, or livelihoods promotion, especially with community-based organizations or farmer collectives.

- Ability to conduct field-based training, facilitation, and outreach with diverse community members, including women farmers.

- Strong communication and documentation skills, including basic report writing and record-keeping.

- Capacity to collaborate with local institutions, government departments, NGOs, and market actors along agricultural value chains.

- Basic understanding of sustainable agriculture practices, value chain development, and income-generation activities in rural contexts.

- Comfort with on-site work in rural areas, willingness to travel within Khairagarh and surrounding villages.

- Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in social work, rural development, agriculture, or a related field; relevant experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.

- Commitment to gender equity, inclusive practices, and respectful engagement with community members from diverse backgrounds.
