Company Description

AlienX Technology Pvt. Ltd. is a growing technology startup focused on building practical engineering solutions across software, computing systems, and semiconductor development.

We operate with a small, hands-on engineering team , where each member has meaningful ownership and direct involvement in technical decisions. Engineers are encouraged to experiment, learn quickly, question assumptions, and contribute across multiple stages of the development lifecycle.

Our semiconductor work emphasizes open-source tools, reproducible engineering workflows, and practical experimentation . Team members will have opportunities to work closely with architecture, RTL, verification, FPGA, embedded, and software development while helping establish the engineering foundations of a growing semiconductor team.

Role Description

AlienX Technology is looking for an RTL Design & Verification Engineer to join our small semiconductor engineering team.

The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, simulating, and verifying digital hardware modules at the Register Transfer Level (RTL) using primarily open-source development and verification tools.

You will work from architectural specifications through RTL implementation, verification, debugging, synthesis, FPGA prototyping, and early ASIC-oriented workflows.

Because we are a small team, this role provides broader technical exposure than a narrowly defined RTL position. You may contribute to architecture discussions, verification infrastructure, tool automation, FPGA bring-up, documentation, and internal semiconductor development workflows.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu .

Key Responsibilities

- Develop synthesizable RTL using Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Translate architectural specifications into digital hardware implementations
- Design FSMs, FIFOs, datapaths, controllers, memory interfaces, and processing blocks
- Develop verification environments and automated testbenches
- Perform functional simulation and regression testing
- Write assertions and verification properties
- Perform waveform analysis and RTL debugging
- Create verification plans and test scenarios
- Perform linting and static RTL checks
- Perform RTL synthesis and analyze synthesis results

- Work with clock-domain-crossing and reset-domain concepts
- Contribute to formal verification activities
- Integrate and verify digital IP blocks
- Work with interfaces such as AXI, AHB, APB, UART, SPI, I²C, and GPIO
- Contribute to RISC-V processor and SoC development
- Support FPGA prototyping and validation
- Explore open-source ASIC implementation flows
- Develop scripts for automation, testing, and regression workflows
- Maintain design specifications, verification plans, and engineering documentation
- Participate in architecture, RTL, and verification reviews
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the small engineering team
