Job Summary

Kalyanam Karoti, Mathura, invites applications from qualified and experienced Retina Surgeons / Vitreo-Retina Specialists to provide comprehensive medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous disorders. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosis, treatment, surgical procedures, patient counselling, follow-up care, and supporting the organization’s charitable eye-care services and outreach programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive retinal and vitreous examinations and diagnose retinal disorders.
- Manage patients with diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular disorders, retinal vascular diseases, age-related macular degeneration and other vitreoretinal conditions.
- Perform and assist in vitreoretinal surgical procedures, including vitrectomy and retinal detachment surgery.
- Perform intravitreal injections and laser procedures as clinically indicated.
- Interpret OCT, fundus photography, B-scan, FFA/ICGA and other retinal investigations.
- Provide pre-operative assessment, surgical planning and post-operative management.
- Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation and surgical records.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, risks, prognosis and follow-up.
- Coordinate with cataract, glaucoma, cornea, paediatric ophthalmology and other ophthalmology departments for comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in eye camps, screening programs and referral-based retinal services for underserved communities.
- Support training and mentoring of junior ophthalmologists, optometrists and ophthalmic staff.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety,



clinical-quality and hospital protocols.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, CME programs, research and quality-improvement activities.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in all clinical and surgical activities.

Qualification

- MS / MD / DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
- Fellowship / Fellowship-equivalent training in Vitreo-Retina preferred.
- Valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Additional training in vitreoretinal surgery, medical retina or related subspecialty will be an advantage.

Experience

- 3–10 years of relevant experience in a reputed eye hospital/institute.
- Experience in retinal diagnosis, medical retina management and vitreoretinal surgery.
- Candidates with experience in high-volume charitable or tertiary eye-care settings will be preferred.

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with qualification, experience and clinical/surgical expertise.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
