Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Research Assistant role based in Thoothukudi.

The Research

Assistant will support laboratory and field experiments related to marine biomass, including sample collection, preparation, and routine testing.

Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment, recording experimental procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation of results. The role involves assisting in data collection, entering and organizing data, and performing preliminary analyses under the guidance of senior researchers.

Assistant will collaborate with cross-functional teams,



follow safety and quality protocols, and contribute to reports, presentations, and continuous improvement of research methods.

Qualifications

- Robust Analytical Skills and proficiency in Data Analysis for interpreting experimental results and identifying trends.
- Hands-on Laboratory Skills and experience with basic Research methods, including sample handling, measurements, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written documentation and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in biology, biotechnology, marine sciences, chemistry, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures and meet project timelines.
- Familiarity with spreadsheet and data management tools; experience with statistical software is an advantage.

- Interest in sustainable technologies, marine environments, and working in a research-focused setting.
