Role Description The Research and Development Intern role at India Makers is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The intern will support R&D; initiatives by conducting qualitative and quantitative research on emerging companies, technologies, and industry trends relevant to India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Day-to-day tasks include gathering and analyzing data, synthesizing insights into reports or briefs, assisting in the design and testing of content concepts or research frameworks, and maintaining accurate documentation of research activities.



The intern will collaborate with cross-functional team members to provide evidence-based inputs for stories, features, and new platform initiatives and will contribute ideas to improve research processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Research and Development (R&D;) skills, including the ability to design, implement, and evaluate research projects.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Research abilities to collect data, interpret findings, and draw clear, actionable conclusions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present research outputs, collaborate with team members, and document results clearly.
- Candidates should possess relevant Laboratory Skills where applicable, such as handling tools, instruments, or structured experimental procedures.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with business and startup ecosystems, proficiency in basic data analysis tools (e.g., spreadsheets or statistical software), attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in a relevant field (such as Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, or related disciplines) is preferred but not strictly required if equivalent skills and experience can be demonstrated.
