Role DescriptionThe Multiphysics Research Ambassador is a remote role for students who want to engage with engineering and scientific research beyond their coursework.

The Ambassador will help identify interesting research problems, explore relevant papers, reproduce published simulations, question modelling assumptions, and communicate technical findings to other students.

Activities may include participating in research-paper discussions, simulation studies, paper hackathons, technical explainers, and peer-learning activities.

The role is not primarily promotional. Ambassadors are expected to do technical work, investigate problems, and contribute to the research community.

Responsibilities

- Identify interesting engineering and multiphysics research problems
- Read and discuss relevant research papers
- Reproduce published simulations or computational models
- Examine assumptions, methods, results, and limitations
- Participate in research-paper hackathons




- Develop concise technical explainers
- Share useful research findings with the student community
- Help connect students with research and computational engineering opportunities
- Collaborate with peers and mentors on technical investigations
- Document and communicate findings clearly

Qualifications
- Strong curiosity about how physical systems work
- Interest in simulation, computational engineering, multiphysics, or scientific research
- Ability to read and understand technical material
- Willingness to learn unfamiliar physics or computational methods
- Ability to question assumptions rather than simply follow procedures
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Interest in reproducing or investigating published research
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Commitment to accuracy, intellectual honesty, and proper attribution of research
