Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Regulatory Licensing Officer to manage the approval, documentation, and coordination process with the Electricity Department, DISCOM, and relevant government authorities for rooftop solar installations.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with electricity department officials, following up on applications and approvals, and ensuring the smooth and timely completion of the net metering process for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and follow up with the Electricity Department / DISCOM for rooftop solar project approvals.

Handle the complete net metering application and approval process from submission to completion.

Prepare, verify, and submit required documents, applications, forms, and supporting paperwork.

Track the status of applications, approvals, inspections, and net meter installations.

Regularly communicate and follow up with concerned government and electricity department officials.

Coordinate with customers, installation teams, and internal departments to ensure all regulatory requirements are completed on time.

Schedule and coordinate site inspections wherever required.

Resolve documentation issues, application discrepancies, and approval-related queries.

Maintain accurate records of applications, approvals, correspondence, and pending cases.

Ensure compliance with applicable solar, electrical, net metering, and regulatory requirements.

Provide regular updates to management regarding the status of approvals and pending applications.

Coordinate with the electricity department for net meter installation,



meter replacement, and commissioning after approval.

Stay updated on changes in government schemes, regulations, procedures, and net metering guidelines.

Ensure timely completion of all regulatory formalities so rooftop solar projects can be commissioned without unnecessary delays.

Ability to maintain accurate records and track multiple applications simultaneously.

Basic knowledge of rooftop solar, net metering, electricity regulations, and DISCOM procedures will be an advantage.

Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace.

Should be proactive, persistent, and comfortable handling regular follow-ups.

Qualification & Experience

Graduate / Diploma in any relevant field.

1–3 years of experience in regulatory approvals, licensing, government liaison, electrical services, solar industry, or a similar role preferred.

Freshers with excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills may also be considered.

Timely submission of applications and documentation.

Approval turnaround time.

Number of pending applications effectively followed up.

Successful completion of net metering processes.

Timely coordination of inspections and meter installations.

Accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

Reduction in delays related to approvals and commissioning.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
