Role & responsibilities

1. Lead and guide ASMs, Sales Officers, and field sales teams.
2. Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
3. Improve shop entry, product placement, and outlet coverage.
4. Develop sales in General Trade, supermarkets, and key outlets.
5. Manage and improve distributor performance.
6. Identify and correct distribution and market gaps.
7. Plan and implement market-wise schemes and offers.
8. Monitor competitor pricing, schemes, and market activities.
9. Ensure product availability and proper visibility at outlets.
10. Monitor billing, collections, sales coverage, and team performance.
11. Conduct regular market visits and support the field team.
12. Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
13. Prepare regular sales and market reports.
14. Travel extensively across Tamil Nadu as required.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 10 - 15 years of FMCG Sales experience.
2. Strong experience in Tamil Nadu General Trade.
3. Experience in Edible Oil / Commodity / FMCG preferred.
4.



Good knowledge of Tamil Nadu markets and market-wise sales practices.
5. Experience handling ASMs, Sales Officers, and distributors.
6. Positive retailer and key-account handling skills.
7. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
8. Fluency in Tamil is essential.
9. Willingness to travel extensively across Tamil Nadu.

Preferred Experience
1. Edible Oil, Staples, or Food FMCG experience.
2. Experience in scheme-driven and price-sensitive markets.
3. Experience handling supermarkets and semi-modern trade.
4. Experience in developing weak markets and improving distributor performance.
