Experience:
0–1 (Freshers friendly)
Location:
Remote in India
If you’re always online and Reddit feels like a second home to you, and you know how the communities work, especially B2B and SaaS ones, we’d love to have you onboard.
About us:
We're a marketing agency with clients across the US, Singapore, India, the UK, Israel, and Dubai. A few names you might know: Ketch, Darwinbox, Petpooja, Sprinto, Webengage, Zluri and GoKwik.
About the role:
We’re hiring a Reddit Intern to help us build authentic presence and drive GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) for our clients on Reddit.
You’ll work closely with a small, fast-moving team, engaging in relevant subreddits and building conversations that actually add value.
If you understand internet culture and like the idea of shaping conversations at scale, you will enjoy this role.
What you will do in this role:
- Write insightful comments for our clients in relevant threads. People should want to read and upvote them, not just scroll past them.
- Engage in SaaS related subreddits by posting valuable/helpful comments, and not just humanised AI slop.
- Create new threads to discuss relevant topics and get real conversations started.
- Do your homework (research, research, research) about the client’s product, and read the room on reddit before you start talking about it.
- Keeping weekly activity updated in a tracker, because, well you know why.
- Communicate with the Reddit team on Slack.
- Weekly check-ins to share your insights and updates.
You will have room to explore subreddits, understand the community tone and figure out what works. Generic,
AI copy-paste comments are a huge no-no. Every response should come from a human and be actually helpful to the poster. What you should bring to the table:
- Genuine interest in Reddit and how its communities function, not just knowing what a subreddit is.
- Strong written English communication skills. You should be able to write like a human and be allergic to AI slop.
- Ability to read a subreddit’s tone and adapt accordingly. What works on marketing subreddit might not work on SaaS subreddit, and you should know (or be able to notice) the difference.
- Curiosity about B2B and SaaS topics, or at least willingness to nerd out on them.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership. We’re not big on hand holding around here (unless you want to?)
- A research mindset. You know how to dig into a client’s product to understand what they do, and you know how to research Reddit itself to figure out what kind of content works and what gets you laughed out of a thread.
You should know the difference between posting for the sake of posting and posting to actually add value.
Bonus points if you:
1. Are already an active Redditor with decent karma.
2. Have any experience with content, community building or social media.
3. Understand what GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) means.
Pay & perks
- ₹10,000/month stipend
- 3 month internship
- Certificate of internship at the end of the program
What we're looking for
- Someone who can work independently without needing constant hand holding. Don’t worry, we’re not going to babysit you.
- Self-starter. Someone who is proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks from day one, not someone waiting to be told what to do next.
- You are comfortable asking questions, learning fast, and working in a fast moving environment without freaking out when things change.
- Someone who wants to understand why something works and not just follow instructions like a checklist.
Not every box needs to be checked. If you're curious and willing to learn fast, we'd like to hear from you.
Culture
- Growth mindset: We try to get a little better all the time.
- Partnership: This is something we're building together, not somewhere you just work for someone.
- Goal-driven: A lot of our personal goals line up with Spear Growth's. We hit both together.
- Ownership: We actually own our work, and we make it easy for each other to do well.
- Fun and inspiring: We like being around people who make us better. (This is also why we don't onboard toxic clients.)
- We have monthly team dinners! The whole team gets together, we eat, play games, and occasionally someone tells ghost stories (okay, it's one guy, and we just somehow put up with him. xD)
- No corporate BS.
Other Information
- Work timings: the team works between 11 AM and 7 PM IST. Outside of that, as long as you're hitting deadlines, work whenever suits you. Occasional exceptions apply when other time zones are involved.
- You'll be expected to set realistic deadlines and deliver on them.
