SUMMARY

This is a remote position.

Recruitment Coordinator, India Remote (India) Full - Time

Also searched as: Recruitment Coordinator, Recruitment Administrator, Talent Coordinator, Talent Acquisition Executive

If we handed you every candidate Contour is talking to right now and said nothing slips, where would you start?

On a typical day you might move an interview at one of our Australian campuses and rebook the room before lunch, bring a dozen candidate records in Rippling up to date with a note on each so the Talent Partner can read status at a glance, and chase an overdue video assessment and a hiring manager's feedback before you log off.

About Contour

We started in 2020 with a handful of students and a belief that great education should not be out of reach. Today we operate across three brands with 8,000+ students and 425+ team members: roughly 100 in India and 325 onshore in Australia. This role sits in the Talent Acquisition team within People and Culture, which hires for all three brands.

Contour runs dozens of open roles at a time across tutoring, campus and support teams. This is the seat every one of those candidates passes through.

About This Role

You are the coordinator behind Contour's hiring pipeline: the person who books every interview, keeps every candidate record in Rippling accurate, and follows every assessment and piece of feedback through until it lands.

You report to the Talent Partner, who is based in Australia. They own hiring strategy, phone screens and interviews, offers, and the relationship with hiring managers. Everything that moves a candidate from one of those conversations to the next is yours: scheduling, records, assessments, follow-ups, and the talent pools behind upcoming roles. Candidate calls stay onshore. Your work is written, in Rippling, email and SMS, across every candidate at every stage.

Two things separate a strong hire here from a competent one. First, process discipline: you run the workflow the same way every time, and when a step keeps breaking you flag it before it costs a missed interview. Second, you chase early and you chase again: an unconfirmed interview, an overdue assessment or a hiring manager's feedback never sits in your queue waiting for someone to ask about it.

You are the only coordinator on the team and you have no reports. The sourcing and talent-pool work is the part of the seat that grows with you.

Hiring at Contour has outgrown the time one Talent Partner can give to coordination. You take that work on, so their time goes to sourcing, hiring managers and offers. By the end of month three, every active candidate's status in Rippling is accurate within a day of any touchpoint, new interviews are booked within two working days of the request, no candidate has gone five business days without hearing from us, and the first talent pools for recurring roles are built and current.

The templates, trackers and pools you set up in those months will outlast the roles they were built for.

Where the Work Lives

- Rippling: the ATS. Interviews are booked from here and candidates receive their invites from it, and every candidate record, stage move and note lives here, so a touchpoint you have not logged does not exist as far as the team is concerned.
- VideoAsk: video assessments go out and come back through here. You send them, watch for what has not come back, and sort out resubmissions when a file is corrupted or the audio is missing.
- SEEK Talent Search: sourcing and talent pools, against criteria the Talent Partner sets. Templated outreach is yours to send; anything off-template goes past the Talent Partner first.
- Shared inbox and calendars: candidate queries land in the shared inbox and you decide which ones need escalating; reschedules and cancellations move through the calendar the same day hiring priorities change.

What You Will Do
- Own interview scheduling end to end. Book, confirm and reschedule interviews across phone, video and campus formats, send candidates the time, location and interviewer, line up interviewer availability, raise room bookings for interviews at our Australian campuses, and follow up anyone who has not confirmed, by SMS when email goes quiet.
- Keep the Rippling pipeline accurate for every open role. Move candidates to the right stage as it happens, log each touchpoint as a note (assessment sent, follow-up made, video resubmitted), file documents to the right candidate, and action hiring managers' requests on the profile itself.
- Run assessments and get overdue feedback in. Send pre-interview and skills assessments, track completion against due dates, and push overdue hiring-manager feedback before it stalls a pipeline.
- Handle routine candidate communication. Status updates, extension requests and confirmations of receipt go out on approved templates on behalf of the Talent Partner, at every stage of the process. You flag anything that needs the Talent Partner's judgement.
- Source and keep talent pools warm. Build longlists and shortlists in SEEK Talent Search against the Talent Partner's brief, send first-contact and follow-up messages on the approved templates, and keep pools for recurring and hard-to-fill roles current.
- Support reporting and the admin around hiring. Pull open-role, stage-count and time-to-fill data from Rippling, format job ads, candidate summaries and interview packs, and take the notes in recruitment catch-ups and follow up the actions.

If a template, tracker or tool would remove a manual step, make the case and we will back it.

Requirements

What You Need

- 1 to 4 years in a recruitment or HR coordination role, agency, RPO or in-house, where you kept a live pipeline of candidates on track
- Hands-on with an ATS: you can move stages, log notes, upload documents and pull a basic report without help
- Writing that lands with someone who has never met you. Your confirmations, follow-ups and status updates are a candidate's whole experience of Contour until interview day, so a clear, warm, correct email is the core skill of this role
- Organised at volume: many candidates across many roles, each at a different stage, none of them dropped
- Detail that catches problems early: a wrong interview time, a stage that does not match the last note, a misspelt name, all caught before the candidate sees them
- Same-day turnaround on scheduling requests, follow-ups and record updates. A pipeline that waits on you slows down for everyone
- Comfortable sourcing on a platform like SEEK Talent Search or LinkedIn against a set brief
- Comfortable working fully remote across the India and Australia time difference, with an onshore Talent Partner as your daily counterpart

Nice to Have
- Hands-on Rippling experience
- VideoAsk or another video assessment platform
- Experience supporting an Australian or other overseas hiring team from India
- EdTech, education services or a student-facing organisation background

The Kind of People Who Thrive Here The people who do well here see a gap and close it without waiting to be told. They keep their work visible: on a remote team, the difference between a coordinator the team trusts and one it has to check on is whether the team can see what is happening, so being visible is part of the job. They give direct feedback and expect it back. They give a candidate bad news with the same care as positive news. When a process is not working, they say so and bring a fix with them. Contour's current cluster heads started as team leads. The path from operator to leader is real here.

What Good Looks Like

- Nothing slips: every candidate knows where they stand, and no interview or assessment sits unconfirmed past its date.
- The pipeline tells the truth: any hiring manager can open Rippling and see exactly where a candidate is up to.
- Ready before the role opens: talent pools for recurring roles are current, so a new requisition starts with names already in hand.

Benefits

Fully remote, anywhere in India, with no travel. Compensation is competitive and benchmarked to the role and your experience; we discuss it openly early in the process. From application to offer: a short written screen, a video interview, a practical exercise (a small mock pipeline to prioritise and a follow-up email to draft), a conversation with our People team, and a final interview with the Talent Partner, in about four weeks.

Apply with a CV and one paragraph on a process you ran where something nearly slipped: what it was, how you caught it, and what you changed so it could not happen again.
