Description:

We’re looking for a React UI Engineer who is passionate and motivated to make an impact by taking Ion insights and sharing them with our clinicians. You will be responsible for hands-on development of web applications, spanning both front-end development. You will be collaborating with design engineering, human factors, clinical, QA, cyber security, and data analytics teams, among others.

You will be a catalyst of change and will be responsible for helping to re-invent the way internal and external teams use data.

Figma experience is mandatory

Essential Responsibilities

- Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products.
- Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
- Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.
- Takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards. Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
- Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
- Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards.




- Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation.
- Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery. Anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of experience in designing and developing Responsive React applications
- 4+ years of experience in building React component libraries that is consumed by cross functional teams.
- Strong experience in building front end components using JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, JSX, HTML, Sass/SCSS, styled-components.
- Strong familiarity with up-to-date web development tools and patterns, e.g. Redux, bootstrap, Node.js, npm, webpack, HTML5, javascript, babel, gulp, react-intl etc; loading optimization, cloud deployment strategies.
- Strong CSS skills w/ experience building responsive applications across a variety of browsers and devices using modern CSS3 techniques
- Experience writing tests in Jest/Enzyme, React Testing Library.




- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
- Experience working with Source Code Control systems – Git/Bitbucket or Subversion.
- Proven experience building web apps that run across multiple browsers, including mobile (iOS, Android), where there are different performance and resource constraints as well as capabilities that may require polyfills.
- Ability to create technical documentation.
- Prior experience with rendering 3D models in browsers, working with glTF, glb file format is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (Context API, Redux)
- Strong proficiency and experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Experience with testing React components with Jest (jestjs.io)
- In-depth understanding of React based web application development cycle from bootstrapping to production delivery.
