About the role

White Whiz is building a property discovery platform for the Indian real estate market. Our web platform and API are in place. We are now hiring the developer who will build and own our Android and iOS apps.

You will be our first mobile hire. That means you take the app from an empty repository to both stores, and you make the day-to-day mobile decisions yourself. You will work closely with our backend and web developers, who build in TypeScript with NestJS and Next.js.

Experience

2 to 4 years in React Native, with at least one app you personally shipped to both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store using Expo.

What you will do

- Build the White Whiz mobile app for Android and iOS using Expo and TypeScript.
- Own the release pipeline: EAS Build, EAS Submit, EAS Update, signing, store listings and store review.
- Turn UI/UX designs into screens that work well across device sizes, including low-end Android phones.
- Integrate our REST APIs, authentication, push notifications, chat, maps and location.
- Set up deep links and universal links so shared property links open in the app.
- Keep the app fast and stable: monitor crashes, fix issues, and decide what ships over the air and what needs a store release.

Required

- At least one app live on both stores that you built and released with Expo. Include the store links in your application.
- Strong TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with EAS Build, EAS Submit and EAS Update.
- Experience with development builds and config plugins, not only Expo Go.



You have added libraries with native code to an Expo project.
- Expo Router or React Navigation, including deep linking.
- Server state handling with TanStack Query or similar, and a light client state library such as Zustand.
- Push notifications with expo-notifications and FCM/APNs.
- Secure token storage and a solid understanding of mobile authentication flows.
- Comfortable reading native Android and iOS build errors and resolving them.
- Git, pull requests and code review as a normal way of working.

Valuable to have

- Experience integrating a chat SDK such as Stream Chat.
- Maps, location and image-heavy screens (listing galleries, image caching, uploads).
- Crash reporting and analytics (Sentry, Firebase Analytics).
- CI/CD for mobile using EAS workflows or GitHub Actions.
- Experience on a property, marketplace or lead-generation app.
- Working from shared API types or an OpenAPI contract with a backend team.

Pay: Up to ₹45,000.00 per month
