About the Role

We have established web products and need an experienced React Native developer to bring them to iOS and Android. Our products are Azure-based SaaS applications, with Azure Communication Services (ACS) powering in-app video calls. One of our products is in the healthcare domain and handles sensitive personal data, and our products serve users in India, the EU, and globally — so security and data-protection awareness are part of the job, not an afterthought.

You'll own mobile development end to end — from architecture decisions through App Store and Google Play releases. We're looking for someone who has shipped before, works independently, and can deliver quickly without sacrificing quality.

What You'll Do

- Build iOS and Android apps in React Native based on our existing web products
- Own the full release cycle: development, testing, App Store / Play Store submission, and updates
- Integrate with our existing backend APIs, including authentication, and reuse business logic where practical
- Implement in-app video calling with ACS
- Handle sensitive data responsibly: secure on-device storage, encrypted transport, and keeping personal data out of logs and third-party analytics
- Set up the mobile foundations: navigation, state management, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and CI/CD for mobile builds
- Handle platform-specific requirements (permissions, deep links, native modules when needed)
- Communicate progress clearly and flag risks early

What We're Looking For

Must have:





- 3+ years of React Native experience with at least 2 apps you personally shipped to both the App Store and Google Play (we will ask for links)
- Solid JavaScript/TypeScript and solid React fundamentals
- Experience with the full release process on both stores, including review rejections and how you resolved them
- Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs, authentication flows, and offline/error handling (Azure backend experience is a plus)
- Awareness of secure mobile data handling (secure storage such as Keychain/Keystore, token handling, avoiding data leaks through logs or analytics)
- Ability to work independently and estimate realistically

Nice to have:

- Experience converting an existing web app to mobile (code sharing, monorepos)
- Expo experience and knowing when to use it vs. bare React Native
- Real-time audio/video experience in mobile apps (ACS, WebRTC, Twilio, Agora, or similar)
- Experience in healthcare or another regulated domain; familiarity with GDPR and India's DPDP Act as they apply to mobile apps
- Native experience (Swift/Kotlin) for writing or debugging native modules
- Push notifications, in-app purchases, or app analytics setup
- CI/CD for mobile (Azure Pipelines, EAS, Fastlane, or similar)
