Position: Racking Design Engineer - Sales Support

About Company: We are representing a reputed industrial solutions company seeking a Racking Design Engineer / Sales Support Executive to join their warehouse storage systems division. The role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in designing pallet racking, shelving, and industrial storage systems for large warehouses, logistics hubs, or manufacturing facilities.

Role Overview:

The Racking Design Engineer will play a key role in supporting the sales team by designing efficient, cost-effective racking layouts and preparing technical proposals. The position demands a good balance of technical expertise, commercial understanding, and customer orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare racking and shelving system designs using AutoCAD or equivalent tools based on client requirements and warehouse layouts.
- Coordinate with the sales team to develop optimized storage solutions and technical proposals.
- Calculate load capacities, beam sizes, and structural stability in accordance with industry standards.
- Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including BOQ preparation, costing, and material estimation.




- Collaborate with production and project teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with manufacturing capabilities.
- Assist in preparing tenders, quotations, and presentation materials for client discussions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and product specifications.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Civil Engineering.
- 2 - 7 years of experience in design or technical sales support for pallet racking, shelving, or warehouse storage systems.
- Prior experience with companies such as Storage Solutions will be an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, layout design, and load calculations.
- Positive understanding of material specifications, manufacturing processes, and structural requirements.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to support both internal teams and clients.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
