JOB TITLE: Quantity Surveyor*

About Us:

We are a growing construction company looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

Job Role:

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for material quantity take-off, cost estimation, budgeting, and preparing quotations & tenders for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Quantity Take-off: Survey drawings and calculate accurate quantities of building materials - concrete, steel, blockwork, plastering, flooring, painting etc.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and rate analysis for projects.
- Quotations & Tendering: Prepare quotations for clients, handle tender documentation, comparison of subcontractor/supplier quotes.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor project costs vs budget, identify cost variations and prepare valuation reports.
- Site Coordination: Coordinate with site engineers, purchase team,



and clients for material requirements and billing.
- Documentation: Maintain records of measurements, bills, and contracts. Prepare interim and final bills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- B.E / http://B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil with solid QS experience
- 5-6 years of proven experience as Quantity Surveyor in building construction (residential / commercial)
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Estimation Software (like PlanSwift, CostX is a plus)
- Excellent knowledge of current market rates for materials and labour in Chennai
- Good understanding of IS codes, specifications, and construction methods
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills

What We Offer: Salary Rs. 40,000 - 50,000 based on experience + other benefits.
