Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quality Head to lead the end-to-end quality function across product development, manufacturing, supplier quality, process quality, testing and customer quality. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, thermal systems or related cooling products, with a proven track record of establishing and improving quality systems in a product/manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the overall Quality function across incoming, in-process, final and customer quality.
- Develop and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with business and product requirements.
- Establish quality standards, procedures, inspection plans and quality control processes for HVAC/refrigeration/thermal products.
- Drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, CAPA, RCA and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define and monitor quality KPIs, defect rates, rejection, rework, customer complaints and PPM.
- Lead supplier quality management, supplier audits, incoming inspection and supplier development.




- Work closely with Design, R&D;, Production, Procurement, Service and Engineering teams to ensure quality at every stage of the product lifecycle.
- Drive NPD quality and validation from prototype development through pilot production and commercialization.
- Establish inspection and testing methodologies for HVAC, refrigeration, chiller and thermal systems/components.
- Lead root-cause analysis for product and process failures and ensure effective corrective/preventive actions.
- Manage internal, customer and third-party quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ISO, industry and product-specific quality standards.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, SOPs, inspection standards and process control documentation.
- Build, mentor and manage the Quality team across different functions.
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with manufacturing teams to reduce rejection, rework, warranty issues and cost of poor quality.
- Establish a strong quality culture across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10–15 years of experience in Quality/Quality Assurance/Quality Control,



preferably in a product-based manufacturing environment.
- Strong domain experience in one or more of:
- HVAC
- Refrigeration
- Chillers
- Thermal Management
- Cooling Systems
- Data Center Cooling
- Industrial Cooling Equipment
- Solid understanding of mechanical, thermal and refrigeration systems.
- Experience in NPD, manufacturing quality and supplier quality.
- Strong knowledge of RCA, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, APQP, PPAP and Control Plans.
- Experience in implementing or managing ISO 9001 QMS.
- Good understanding of inspection, testing, calibration and measurement systems.
- Experience handling customer complaints, warranty issues and field failures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Experience managing and developing a Quality team.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Electrical / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or a relevant discipline is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates from organizations involved in HVAC equipment, chillers, refrigeration systems, cooling equipment, thermal systems, heat exchangers, data center cooling or industrial equipment manufacturing would be preferred.
