About Akshaya Chaitanya

Akshaya Chaitanya is a not-for-profit social enterprise by HKM charitable foundation to eradicate hunger from Mumbai. As first step, we have partnered with the Medical Education and Drug Department (MEDD) of Government of Maharashtra and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to provide relief to the families of patients by serving them meals at lunch. Our aim is to ensure that those suffering and waiting to get treated get quality care from their family members staying at the hospital. And now, we started with feeding breakfast meal to municipal school children to avoid class room hunger catering to 53 municipal schools in Mumbai.

Job Summary

Overall responsibilities for the QA function in the Facility with monitoring & supervision of Production & QA Activities. Ensure Quality Assurance plans, systems and procedures for all stages of manufacturing (raw material to finished product) are adequate, current, and in line with the defined standards & Food Safety Standards regulations (FSSAI).

· Responsible for monitoring & controlling overall process from raw material receipt till ready for dispatch food at various stages of manufacturing.

· Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and hygienic environment in food preparation, handling and distribution area to reduce/eliminate the risk of food contamination.

· Establish and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food hygiene and food safety standard requirements, cleaning & sanitization program, waste management & disposal. Develop SOPs for all associated jobs and train people for understanding & implementation. Ensure compliance through periodical audits. Maintain proper records.





· Develop sampling and testing plan at various stages of manufacturing & monitor adherence to plan and product conformity. Maintain records.

· Ensure that non-conforming product is handled as per laid down norms. Analyze deviations for prevention – collect samples and analyze nonconformity to draw conclusions and recommend forward actions and maintain records.

· Ensure an adequate understanding of QA plans, systems and procedures among all operators and technicians of the facility and provide training to them to discharge their assigned responsibilities in terms of product Quality.

· Define roles & responsibilities for all relevant positions and communicate to every concerned personnel.

· Monitor quality compliance to the food safety standards, conduct periodical audits, identify gaps, develops and implements plans for addressing the gaps. Monitors effectiveness of actions on an on-going basis and takes corrective measures.

· Build understanding of Quality & GMP requirements among quality, production and maintenance personnel through training. Derive and implements plans to monitor compliance.

· Ensure compliance of manufacturing, storage and distribution of food, to Regulatory Food Safety Standards (FSSAI) that confirms safety of food.

Key Requirements

· Excluding traineeship should have at least 1.5 years relevant experience in a reputed establishment in similar role in food or milk product manufacturing.

· MS office with advanced MS Excel skills, knowledge of SAP or equivalent system will be added advantage.

· Should be able to read, write and speak English, Hindi and Marathi

Job Types: Permanent, Full time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
