About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer (QE) to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing distributed systems and offline-first products, with a proven ability to design comprehensive test strategies and frameworks.

This role involves leading the testing efforts for complex applications that integrate on-device components with backend AWS services, ensuring robust quality assurance across multiple layers of the product. The candidate will be responsible for developing and owning automation frameworks that extend beyond basic scripting, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating closely with engineers and project leads to identify and mitigate quality risks.

Qualifications

- 6–9 years of Quality Engineering experience, including hands-on work with distributed systems or offline-first products.
- Strong expertise in test strategy and architecture, with a focus on designing comprehensive testing approaches.
- Proficiency in UI automation using Selenium WebDriver and API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
- Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks that support complex test scenarios beyond simple scripts.
- Ability to define and implement test coverage for both on-device applications and backend AWS services.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills to guide junior QE team members and coordinate testing efforts.

Nice to have: experience with sync/CRDT-style systems; POS or retail hardware testing experience.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement a comprehensive test strategy that encompasses offline/online functionalities, synchronization mechanisms, and hardware integration edge cases.
- Define and ensure thorough test coverage across the on-device application layer and associated AWS backend services.
- Develop, build,



and maintain automation frameworks that go beyond basic record-and-replay scripts, enabling scalable and reliable testing processes.
- Mentor mid-level QE team members, fostering skill development and best practices within the team.
- Coordinate test cycles with engineers and the Pod Lead, ensuring timely and effective testing phases.
- Identify and report potential quality risks and coverage gaps to the Delivery Manager and Pod Lead, proposing mitigation strategies.
