Quality Engineer – Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to handle quality inspection and control activities in a manufacturing workplace. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to sheet metal, fabrication, welding, automotive components, or material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections.
- Inspect raw materials, fabricated components, welded assemblies, and finished products.
- Identify and report quality defects, dimensional deviations, welding defects, and fitment issues.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection using precision measuring instruments.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and NCR activities.
- Ensure products meet required quality standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, check sheets, and calibration records.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and quality documentation.
- Monitor fabrication and welding processes for quality compliance.
- Conduct/assist in coating and finish inspections,



including paint, powder coating, and galvanizing.
- Support implementation of ISO 9001 quality practices.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools
- Understanding of GD&T;
- Knowledge of RCA, CAPA and NCR
- Hands-on experience with Vernier Caliper, Micrometer and other measuring instruments
- Basic understanding of fabrication and welding quality
- Good documentation and reporting skills

Education
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering
