Job SummaryWe are looking for a Quality Engineer with experience in stainless steel pipe/tube manufacturing to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspection of stainless steel pipes/tubes.
- Monitor manufacturing and welding processes to ensure product quality.
- Perform dimensional, visual, and applicable NDT/testing inspections.
- Verify MTCs, material traceability, inspection reports, and quality records.
- Identify and control non-conformities; conduct RCA, CAPA, and 8D activities.
- Handle customer complaints and support customer/third-party inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ASTM/ASME, API, EN, and customer-specific requirements, as applicable.
- Coordinate with Production and other departments for continuous quality improvement.

Required Knowledge & Skills
- Good knowledge of stainless steel grades, particularly commonly used grades such as 304/304L, 316/316L, 321, 347, and duplex grades,



as applicable.
- Knowledge of stainless steel pipe/tube manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of welding and weld inspection.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
- Understanding of NDT methods and their applications.
- Knowledge of quality tools such as:
- 7 QC Tools
- 5 Why Analysis
- Fishbone Analysis
- Pareto Analysis
- CAPA
- 8D Problem Solving
- SPC
- MSA
- Ability to read engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Production and other cross-functional teams.

Qualification & Sk
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in stainless steel pipe/tube or metal manufacturing.
- Knowledge of welding, NDT, measuring instruments, and quality tools.
- Good knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA, and 8D.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
