Role Description The Quality Control Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This position is responsible for monitoring and inspecting fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities related to storage tanks, pipelines, and fuel handling equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. Day-to-day tasks include performing quality checks, documenting inspection results, supporting root-cause analysis for defects, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions with project and production teams.

The role involves reviewing technical drawings and specifications, maintaining quality records, assisting in audits, and communicating findings clearly to stakeholders.

The Quality Control





Engineer collaborates closely with engineering, operations, and safety teams to continuously improve quality processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

- BE / DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
- ASNT LEVEL 1 OR 2
- Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills for inspection, testing, and compliance verification.
- Candidates should possess solid Quality Management capabilities, including familiarity with standards, procedures, and continuous improvement practices.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support root-cause analysis and problem solving.
- Candidates should possess explicit and effective Communication skills for reporting findings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in audits.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
- Experience in fabrication, construction, or oil and gas/petroleum projects is beneficial.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO, industry codes) is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in industrial environments and use standard inspection tools and measuring instruments.
