Position Summary

Sharpwire is looking for an experienced QMS Manager to lead and strengthen our Quality Management System, ensure compliance with ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 requirements, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and quality processes.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, with strong exposure to internal audits, customer audits, certification audits, corrective actions, defect reduction, and quality performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

QMS & IATF 16949

•⁠ ⁠Lead and maintain the company’s IATF 16949 Quality Management System.

•⁠ ⁠Keep ISO documents updated and ensure ISO compliance.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure compliance with applicable customer-specific requirements and quality standards.

•⁠ ⁠Plan and conduct internal QMS and process audits.

•⁠ ⁠Lead preparation for IATF, customer, and certification-body audits.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure timely closure and effectiveness verification of audit findings and non-conformities.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain QMS documentation, procedures, work instructions, records, and quality objectives.

Defect Reduction & Quality Improvement

•⁠ ⁠Drive initiatives to reduce internal and external defects, rejection, rework, scrap, and customer complaints.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor quality KPIs and identify areas requiring immediate corrective or preventive action.

•⁠ ⁠Lead Root Cause Analysis, 8D, CAPA, 5-Why, Fishbone, and other problem-solving activities.

•⁠ ⁠Establish and monitor defect-reduction targets for production and supporting functions.

•⁠ ⁠Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to eliminate recurring quality issues.

Quality Trend Analysis





•⁠ ⁠Track quality defects and trends by product, process, machine, shift, customer, supplier, and defect type.

•⁠ ⁠Develop and maintain Pareto analysis, trend charts, rejection reports, and quality dashboards.

•⁠ ⁠Identify recurring and emerging quality trends and initiate preventive actions before issues become major problems.

•⁠ ⁠Present quality performance, trends, risks, and improvement actions to management.

•⁠ ⁠Use data-driven analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and defect prevention.

Customer Quality

•⁠ ⁠Monitor and manage customer complaints and quality concerns.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure effective and timely response to customer complaints, including 8D reports and corrective actions.

•⁠ ⁠Track customer PPM, complaints, returns, and other customer quality indicators.

•⁠ ⁠Work with relevant teams to prevent recurrence of customer issues.

Continuous Improvement

•⁠ ⁠Drive PDCA and continual improvement activities throughout the organization.

•⁠ ⁠Establish quality improvement projects focused on defect reduction, process capability, and customer satisfaction.

•⁠ ⁠Promote a strong zero-defect and prevention-oriented quality culture.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

•⁠ ⁠Lead and develop the Quality team.

•⁠ ⁠Train employees on QMS requirements, quality procedures, problem-solving, and audit readiness.





•⁠ ⁠Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure accountability for quality objectives and improvement actions across departments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

•⁠ ⁠Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or related field.

•⁠ ⁠Minimum 5 years of hands-on IATF 16949 audit experience.

•⁠ ⁠Robust experience in IATF 16949 QMS implementation, maintenance, and auditing.

•⁠ ⁠Experience handling IATF certification audits, customer audits, and internal audits.

•⁠ ⁠Strong knowledge of:

IATF 16949

ISO 9001

Core Tools – APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC

8D / CAPA / Root Cause Analysis

Process and Product Auditing

Control Plans

- Statistical and trend analysis

•⁠ ⁠Proven track record of reducing defects, rejection, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.

•⁠ ⁠Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•⁠ ⁠Good communication and leadership skills.

•⁠ ⁠Proficiency in Excel and quality data analysis/reporting.

Preferred

•⁠ ⁠Automotive manufacturing experience.

•⁠ ⁠Experience with wire, cable, harness, metal forming, stamping, or related manufacturing processes.

•⁠ ⁠Certified IATF 16949 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor.

•⁠ ⁠Experience with customer-specific requirements and major automotive customer audits.

•⁠ ⁠Experience implementing measurable quality improvement projects.
