Key Responsibilities1. Quality Management System – QMS
- Maintain and implement ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
- Prepare, review and update Quality SOPs, procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure all departments follow approved quality procedures.
- Maintain all quality-related documents and records.
- Conduct regular QMS compliance reviews.
- Define and monitor Quality Objectives and KPIs.
- Coordinate Management Review Meetings.
- Ensure continual improvement of the Quality Management System.
1. Incoming Material Quality
- Establish inspection standards for all Raw Materials and Packaging Materials.
- Inspect incoming materials as per approved specifications.
- Maintain incoming inspection records.
- Monitor supplier rejection and quality performance.
- Raise supplier quality complaints for rejected materials.
- Coordinate with Purchase for supplier corrective actions.
- Approve/reject incoming materials based on defined specifications.
1. In-Process Quality Control
- Establish quality checkpoints at all critical production stages.
- Prepare and maintain Process Control Plans.
- Conduct first-piece/first-off inspection.
- Ensure production follows approved specifications and work instructions.
- Monitor critical process parameters.
- Identify and control process deviations.
- Reduce process rejection, rework and scrap.
1. Final Inspection
- Ensure finished products are inspected before dispatch.
- Verify product dimensions, weight, appearance, quantity and functionality as applicable.
- Ensure only approved products are released for dispatch.
- Ensure proper batch/lot traceability.
1. Customer Complaint Management
- Receive and register all customer quality complaints.
- Investigate customer complaints with concerned departments.
- Analyse defective samples and identify root causes.
- Prepare 8D / CAPA reports wherever required.
- Define corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure complaints are closed within agreed timelines.
- Verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Maintain customer complaint records and trend analysis.
- Take action to prevent recurrence of complaints.
1. Non-Conforming Material Control
- Identify and segregate rejected material.
- Maintain NCR records.
- Ensure rejected material is not accidentally used or dispatched.
- Decide disposition through rework, rejection, scrap or re-inspection.
- Implement corrective actions for recurring defects.
1. Customer Specification Control
- Review customer specifications, drawings and approved samples.
- Ensure customer-specific requirements are communicated internally.
- Maintain customer-specific inspection standards.
- Ensure production is carried out as per approved specifications.
- Identify discrepancies between PO, specifications and approved samples.
- Escalate specification mismatches before production.
- Maintain master samples wherever required.
1. New Product Development
- Support Product Development / R&D; during new product development.
- Define quality requirements for recent products.
- Prepare inspection standards and checklists.
- Conduct first sample / first article inspection.
- Participate in product trials.
- Identify quality issues during trials.
- Approve samples from a quality perspective.
- Maintain approved samples and specifications.
- Ensure changes to product or process are properly evaluated.
1. Internal Audits
- Prepare annual Internal Audit Plan.
- Conduct internal audits as per schedule.
- Audit all relevant departments and processes.
- Identify NCs, observations and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare audit reports.
- Assign corrective actions.
- Follow up for closure of audit findings.
- Verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
1. Customer / ISO / External Audits
- Coordinate customer audits.
- Coordinate ISO 9001 certification and surveillance audits.
- Prepare all required quality documents and records.
- Ensure factory remains audit-ready.
- Support auditors during audits.
- Address audit observations and NCs.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings.
1. Quality Training
- Train employees on Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
- Conduct training on SOPs and Work Instructions.
- Maintain training records.
- Identify competency gaps within the Quality team.
1. Quality Team Management
- Manage and supervise Quality Executives and Inspectors.
- Allocate daily inspection responsibilities.
- Monitor Quality team performance.
- Ensure adequate manpower for incoming, process and final inspection.
- Train and develop Quality team members.
- Set individual KPIs for Quality personnel.
- Evaluate team performance.
1. Rejection & Cost Reduction
- Monitor production rejection and rework.
- Identify major sources of quality loss.
- Reduce scrap and rework.
- Monitor Cost of Poor Quality.
- Analyse customer rejection costs.
- Implement quality improvement projects.
- Work with Production to reduce rejection and improve productivity.
1. Traceability
- Maintain raw/packing material traceability.
- Maintain production batch/lot traceability.
- Maintain finished goods traceability.
- Ensure inspection records can be linked to relevant batches/lots.
- Ensure customer dispatches can be traced back to production records.
1. 5S & Workplace Quality
- Ensure proper 5S within Quality areas.
- Conduct periodic quality/5S audits.
- Ensure proper material identification and segregation.
- Identify conditions that may cause contamination, damage or material mix-up.
- Promote quality awareness throughout the factory.
1. Management Responsibilities
- Escalate critical quality issues to Management.
- Provide recommendations for quality improvement.
- Participate in Management Review Meetings.
- Provide monthly Quality performance reports.
- Ensure Quality Department objectives are achieved.
- Ensure all critical customer and quality issues are immediately communicated to Management.
Authority
- Hold non-conforming Raw Material, WIP or Finished Goods.
- Reject material that does not meet specifications.
- Stop production in case of critical quality issues.
- Stop dispatch of non-conforming products.
- Raise NCRs against any department.
- Demand corrective action from concerned departments.
- Issue supplier quality corrective actions.
- Escalate critical quality issues directly to Management.
- Approve product release after meeting defined quality requirements.
Overall Accountability You will be fully accountable for the Quality Assurance, Quality Control and QMS function of Convertex India Pvt. Ltd.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
