Role Overview Jefferies is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join the Equity Derivatives Technology team. This role combines test automation engineering with DevOps and CI/CD automation and supports a high-performance trading platform across Equities, Bonds, Options, Futures, and Swaps .

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with C#/.NET, C++, SQL Server, PowerShell/Python, CI/CD pipelines, UI/API automation, and Capital Markets , with experience testing end-to-end trade lifecycle workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation

- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for C#/.NET and C++ applications.
- Develop automated regression, integration, API, and UI tests.
- Automate end-to-end trade lifecycle scenarios including:
- Order Creation
- Trade Enrichment
- Booking
- Persistence
- Develop UI automation using Selenium, TestComplete, Ranorex, UFT, or equivalent tools.
- Identify automation opportunities within existing applications.
- Mentor team members on automation best practices.

DevOps & CI/CD

- Design and maintain Jenkins/Bamboo pipelines.
- Automate application deployment and regression execution.
- Develop deployment and automation scripts using PowerShell and Python .
- Automate workplace provisioning, configuration, rollback,



and health checks.
- Support Bitbucket/Git branching and pull-request workflows.

Test Orchestration

- Build automated test orchestration solutions.
- Seed test data into SQL Server.
- Publish test messages through MSMQ/RabbitMQ .
- Automate QA environment setup and teardown.
- Build repeatable and reliable regression environments.

Quality Engineering

- Analyze requirements and functional specifications.
- Develop test plans, test scenarios, UAT cases, and test strategies.
- Maintain test traceability using QTest, HP ALM, and JIRA .
- Support defect analysis, validation, and resolution.

Monitoring & Reporting

- Develop monitoring dashboards and test-result reporting.
- Integrate automation with Splunk .
- Build log-parsing and audit-validation utilities.
- Monitor application health and automated test execution.
