1. 2 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying and contract administration in the construction or infrastructure industry with solid knowledge of measurements, valuations, and claims management.
2. Carry out detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and other drawings for preparation of BOQs, cost estimates, and variation assessments.
3. Prepare monthly progress valuations, interim payment certificates, and final account statements for client billing in coordination with the Project Manager.
4. Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices against measured quantities and contract terms and certify payments accordingly.
5. Manage contract administration activities including tracking of variations, change orders, and claims and prepare supporting documentation for approval.
6. Conduct regular site visits to measure and verify progress of works, reconcile material usage, and prepare accurate measurement sheets.
7.
Prepare and submit variation orders with detailed cost build-ups and supporting documents for client or consultant approval.
8. Monitor project expenditure against the approved budget and prepare cost reports highlighting variances for review by the Project Manager and GM.
9. Maintain accurate and organized financial records, contract documents, measurement sheets, and correspondence related to all QS activities.
10. Review and check QS work prepared by junior engineers for accuracy and completeness before submission for approval.
11. Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on matters related to measurements, valuations, and contract claims.
12. Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD for measurement and quantity take-offs is mandatory.
