Position: QC In-Charge

Reports To: Management Representative

1. Job Purpose

To oversee and control all quality inspection and testing activities at Beston Industries, ensuring that raw materials, components, in-process assemblies, and finished medical/laboratory equipment conform to defined specifications, drawings, applicable standards, and the company's Quality Management System.
1. Key Responsibilities

A. Incoming Quality Inspection

- Inspect incoming raw materials, components, electrical parts, fabricated parts, and purchased items against approved specifications, drawings, and purchase requirements.
- Verify dimensions, material, workmanship, quantity, and relevant test certificates.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments regarding acceptance or rejection of incoming materials.
- Maintain incoming inspection and acceptance records.

B. In-Process Quality Control

- Conduct inspections at defined stages of manufacturing and assembly.
- Verify workmanship, dimensions, electrical connections, assembly quality, and functional requirements.
- Ensure production activities are carried out according to approved drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Identify deviations at the earliest stage and coordinate corrective action with Production/Engineering.

C. Final Inspection & Testing

- Conduct or supervise final inspection and functional testing of finished equipment before dispatch.
- Verify equipment against approved specifications, drawings, BOMs, and applicable test procedures.
- Ensure required safety and performance checks are completed.
- Review test results and authorize equipment for final release, as applicable.
- Maintain final inspection and testing records.

D. Nonconforming Product Control

- Identify, document, segregate, and control nonconforming materials/products.
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required.
- Coordinate with Production,



Engineering, and Quality departments for disposition of nonconforming products.
- Verify rework/repair activities and conduct re-inspection before acceptance.
- Maintain records of rejected, reworked, repaired, and accepted products.

E. Calibration & Measuring Equipment

- Monitor the calibration status of inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure only valid/calibrated equipment is used for inspection and testing.
- Coordinate external calibration of measuring instruments where required.
- Identify and report equipment found overdue, damaged, or suspected of producing invalid results.

F. Quality Records & Documentation

- Maintain QC records, including:
- Incoming inspection reports
- In-process inspection reports
- Final inspection reports
- Testing records
- NCR records
- Rework/rejection records
- Calibration records
- Product release records
- Ensure QC records are properly completed, traceable, legible, and maintained as per the QMS requirements.

G. Customer Complaints & Corrective Actions

- Support investigation of customer complaints related to product quality.
- Assist in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions related to QC findings.
- Provide inspection and testing data required for complaint investigation.

H. Quality System Compliance

- Ensure QC activities comply with the company's QMS and applicable requirements of ISO 13485:2016, CDSCO/MDR requirements, and relevant product standards.




- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Provide required QC records and evidence during audits.
- Implement corrective actions arising from QC-related audit findings.

I. Supplier Quality

- Assist in evaluation and monitoring of supplier quality performance.
- Identify recurring quality issues with supplied materials/components.
- Coordinate with Purchase and suppliers for resolution of quality-related issues.
- Support supplier corrective actions when required.

J. Team Supervision

- Supervise QC personnel and allocate inspection/testing activities.
- Train QC staff on inspection methods, test procedures, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Ensure QC personnel follow approved procedures and maintain proper records.
- Monitor day-to-day QC activities and report significant quality issues to the Quality Manager/Management.

1. Required Qualifications

- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in quality control, preferably in medical devices, laboratory equipment, engineering products, or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques.
- Knowledge of drawings, specifications, and basic engineering principles.
- Working knowledge of ISO 13485:2016 and quality control practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with calibration, NCR, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and audit requirements is desirable.
