We are looking for a QA Practice Lead to lead our Quality Engineering function with a strong focus on technical thought leadership, capability building, and presales solutioning.This role will act as the go-to expert for QA technologies and strategy, driving adoption of up-to-date testing practices (including AI-led QA) while enabling teams and supporting business growth.Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Thought Leadership (50%)
- Act as the technical authority for QA across the organization.
- Define and drive test strategy, architecture, and automation-first approaches.
- Build best practices, reusable frameworks, accelerators, and POCs.
- Guide teams on:
- Automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- API & performance testing
- Test architecture and CI/CD integration
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted testing and next-gen QA practices.
- Support complex problem-solving and architecture decisions across projects.
2. Capability Building & Upskilling (2025%)
- Define and execute QA upskilling and cross-skilling strategy.
- Enable teams to adopt:
- Modern automation tools
- AI-driven QA approaches
- Emerging testing practices
- Mentor engineers and leads to improve technical depth and quality mindset.
- Build learning roadmaps, internal trainings, and hands-on labs/POCs.
3. Presales & Solutioning (25%) Good to have
- Actively contribute to RFP responses and proposals.
- Define QA solutions, automation strategy, and estimations.
- Present solutions to customers and build confidence in delivery capability.
- Work closely with sales to win QA and quality engineering engagements.
4. Delivery & Practice Enablement
- Guide projects to improve QA maturity, coverage, and outcomes.
- Standardize processes, tools, and metrics across engagements.
- Support initial setup of QA strategy and team for new engagements.
- Ensure alignment of QA practices with business and delivery goals.
Experience & Skills
- 1218 years in QA / Quality Engineering
- Strong experience in automation and test architecture
- Experience in IT services / consulting with presales exposure
Technical Skills
- Automation frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright
- Test strategy and architecture
- API and performance testing
- CI/CD integration for testing
- Exposure to AI-driven QA tools and approaches
Leadership Skills
- Strong technical depth with hands-on mindset
- Ability to influence and guide multiple teams and stakeholders
- Experience in solutioning, estimation, and customer presentations
