Role & responsibilities

Manual Testing (Transition Phase)

- Execute comprehensive end-to-end testing across multiple app versions and languages (English, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Telugu)

- Test critical user journeys: onboarding, language selection, login/authentication, product search, cart checkout, order placement, and payment processing

- Identify, document, and validate bug fixes across multiple Android devices and OS versions

- Conduct regression testing before app releases (currently on v4.1.0+)

Test Automation (Core Focus)

- Design and develop an automated testing framework using up-to-date tools (Appium, Selenium, XCTest/Espresso, or similar) for Android mobile app testing

- Convert existing manual test scenarios (50+ end-to-end test cases across multiple modules) into reusable, maintainable automated tests

- Implement CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions/Jenkins) to run automated tests automatically on code commits and releases

- Build parameterized tests to validate multilingual and multi-device compatibility (Tier 2/3 devices running Android 8.0+)





- Develop performance and regression test suites to catch issues early in the development cycle

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to understand requirements and testability

- Partner with Backend teams on API testing and integration scenarios

- Report quality metrics and maintain test case documentation for team alignment

Required Skills

- Mobile QA (Android preferred), with proven experience in test automation

- Automation Tools: Hands-on expertise with Appium, Espresso, XCTest, or equivalent mobile automation frameworks

- Programming: Strong scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, Kotlin, or similar languages (you'll write test scripts regularly)

- CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar for pipeline automation

- Test Methodologies: Understanding of test case design, test data management, and regression testing strategies

- Android Ecosystem: Familiarity with Android Studio, ADB (Android Debug Bridge), and common debugging tools
