We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our software products through structured testing, defect identification, release validation, and continuous quality improvement. The role involves working closely with developers, product managers, and other teams to identify issues early and ensure that applications meet functional and business requirements.
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing requirements, preparing test plans, test scenarios, and test cases, and executing functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing. You will test web applications, APIs, and database operations to ensure that features work as expected across different environments and use cases.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and the software defect lifecycle is required, along with hands-on experience using tools such as Jira, Postman, browser developer tools, and SQL. The candidate should have a positive understanding of API testing, database testing, and basic concepts of automation and performance testing.
The role also includes identifying and documenting defects with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, screenshots, logs, and other supporting evidence. You will work with development teams to verify defect fixes, perform regression testing, and conduct release validation before applications are deployed to production.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand complex requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios. You will maintain test execution reports, requirement traceability, defect records, and quality documentation, while contributing to continuous improvements in testing processes and product quality.
You will be expected to communicate testing results clearly, highlight potential risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, stable, and high-quality software releases.
