About the Role

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer who can build and maintain reliable automated tests across APIs, UI, and integration workflows, and who is comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter day to day. You'll work closely with senior QA engineers, developers, and product teams to grow test coverage for our AdTech and platform products.

This role has a strong AI-assisted engineering component: you'll use tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude for test design, automation scripting, debugging, and documentation. Prior exposure to AdTech is a plus, not a requirement — we're looking for solid automation fundamentals and genuine curiosity to learn.

What You Will Do

- Write and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API workflows using an established automation framework.
- Build and execute REST API test cases covering request/response validation, status codes, and basic error handling.
- Use AI-assisted tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to speed up test case generation, script writing, debugging, and test documentation.
- Execute test suites, triage failures, log clear defects, and verify fixes.
- Collaborate with senior QA engineers and developers to translate user stories and acceptance criteria into test scenarios.
- Maintain and extend existing automation frameworks, test data, and reusable components under guidance from senior team members.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline runs — monitor test execution, flag flaky tests, and help keep the regression suite reliable.
- Perform basic SQL queries to validate data as part of test verification.
- Contribute to test documentation, run reports, and sprint-level QA status updates.

Core Skills & Experience

- 3-5 years of hands-on QA / test automation experience.
- Working proficiency in Java or Python, with experience writing automated tests in a framework such as Selenium, Playwright, or an equivalent.




- Practical experience testing REST APIs using Postman, RestAssured, or a similar tool.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) in day-to-day QA/automation work — this is a core expectation for this role, not a nice-to-have.
- Good understanding of HTTP basics — status codes, headers, JSON — and common API testing concepts.
- Familiarity with core testing concepts: test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, and defect lifecycle.
- Basic SQL skills for data validation (SELECT-level queries against relational databases).
- Working knowledge of Git and exposure to a CI/CD tool (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Clear written communication for bug reports, test documentation, and status updates.
- Willingness to learn current tools, domains (including AdTech), and AI-assisted workflows.

Preferred / Good to Have

- Exposure to the AdTech / digital advertising domain (programmatic, ad serving, CTV) — training will be provided.
- Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and genuine interest in AI-assisted QA/engineering practices.
- Basic exposure to Docker or a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with a BDD framework (Cucumber, SpecFlow) is a plus.
- Prior experience contributing to a shared automation framework, rather than building one from scratch.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent practical QA automation experience may also be considered.
