About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic team at UST. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable, high-performance backend solutions using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, and Flask. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices that support our enterprise applications.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions, ensure optimal performance through monitoring tools like AppDynamics, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, leverage cloud technologies, and make a significant impact on our clients’ digital transformation journeys.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.




- Proficiency in Python with extensive hands-on experience in frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, and Flask.
- Robust understanding of REST API design, microservices architecture, and software engineering principles.
- Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with application performance monitoring tools, particularly AppDynamics.
- Proficiency in database management systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Experience working with version control systems like Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Agile methodology experience, with a focus on collaborative and iterative development processes.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions and microservices using Python frameworks.
- Create and optimize RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software.
- Implement best practices in code quality, security, and performance optimization.
- Utilize AppDynamics and other observability tools to monitor application health, analyze performance issues,



and troubleshoot root causes.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure reliable and maintainable software delivery.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance the development process.
- Assist in automating deployment processes and integrating cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
