We are seeking a skilled and passionate Python Automation Engineer with strong experience in Selenium and Playwright to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust automation practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python.
- Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright.
- Collaborate with Developers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
- Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform API testing and automation using tools such as Postman or Python-based frameworks.
- Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Ensure test coverage across web applications and critical business workflows.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve automation processes, frameworks, and testing methodologies.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
- Experience in automation framework development using PyTest or similar frameworks.
- Valuable understanding of UI automation testing methodologies.
- Experience with REST API testing and automation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with source control tools like Git.
- Understanding of SQL and database validation.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker and containerized test execution.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to BDD frameworks like Behave or Cucumber.
