Role & responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, and engineering items.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely procurement at competitive prices.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Identify and develop new vendors while evaluating supplier performance.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize procurement to minimize stock shortages and excess inventory.
- Prepare purchase orders, maintain procurement records, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Handle vendor negotiations, rate contracts, cost reduction initiatives, and value engineering.
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier quality and delivery issues.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports and monitor purchase budgets
- Possess knowledge of supply chain concepts such as VMI, JIT, Milk Run,



and supplier development best practices.

Required Skills:

- Robust experience in procurement and vendor management in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Understanding of inventory management, supply chain, and purchase planning.
- Experience in strategic sourcing and cost optimization.

Preferred: Experience in manufacturing industry with exposure to local and domestic procurement.
