Job Summary

Kargeen Restaurant is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to manage our purchasing and procurement operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of food and beverage procurement, supplier management, cost control, and inventory coordination.

Responsibilities

- Manage the complete purchasing process for the restaurant.
- Source food ingredients, beverages, kitchen supplies, cleaning materials, and other operational requirements.
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate prices and payment terms.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure competitive pricing.
- Place purchase orders based on approved requirements and stock levels.
- Ensure timely delivery of all purchased materials.
- Check the quality, quantity, freshness, and specifications of incoming supplies.
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen, stores, accounts, and management teams.
- Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier details, quotations, and purchase orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the stores team to avoid shortages or overstocking.




- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and approved budgets.
- Verify invoices and coordinate with the accounts department for payment processing.
- Handle supplier issues, discrepancies, shortages, and quality concerns.
- Prepare regular purchase and cost reports for management.
- Supervise and guide Purchase Assistants and other purchasing staff when required.

Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality company is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food, beverage, kitchen, and restaurant supplies.
- Excellent supplier negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Good understanding of inventory and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and purchasing/inventory software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Robust attention to detail and financial awareness.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Honest, reliable, and capable of handling confidential commercial information.
