Job Summary

Kargeen Restaurant is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Purchase Assistant to support our purchasing and inventory operations. The ideal candidate should have good organizational and communication skills, basic knowledge of purchasing procedures, and the ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers and different departments.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Purchase Manager with daily purchasing activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, orders, deliveries, and follow-ups.
- Source food, beverages, kitchen supplies, cleaning materials, and other restaurant requirements.
- Compare prices and supplier quotations to support cost-effective purchasing.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain proper purchase records.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Check delivered items for quantity, quality, freshness, and specifications.
- Coordinate with the kitchen, stores, accounts, and management teams regarding purchase requirements.
- Maintain supplier information and purchase documentation.
- Assist with stock and inventory checks when required.




- Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to the concerned department.
- Ensure all purchases are properly documented and approved.
- Help maintain an organized purchasing system and records.

Requirements
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or restaurant operations is preferred.
- Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food and kitchen supplies is preferred.
- Positive communication and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer operations.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple suppliers and departments.
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
