Responsible for day-to-day procurement of raw materials, components, and consumables required for fabrication and project execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw materials (plates, pipes, fittings, valves, electrodes, etc.) and consumables as per production/project requirements
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize vendors
- Raise and process purchase orders in the ERP system
- Coordinate with stores, production, and quality teams for material requirements and specifications
- Track order status and follow up for timely delivery
- Maintain vendor database,
price records, and purchase documentation
- Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and budget guidelines
- Resolve material quality or delivery issues with vendors
Requirements Graduate (B.Com / B.E. Mechanical / any relevant discipline)
2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or EPC company
Valuable negotiation and vendor management skills
Knowledge of steel, pipes, valves, and industrial consumables preferred
