Proposal Engineer (WTP/WWTP)

Role & Responsibilities:

The Proposals Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and technically sound proposals and tender submissions for Aquamech's Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment projects, including WTP, WWTP, ETP, STP, and ZLD systems.

- Study and analyse client enquiries, RFQs, tenders, and BOQs for WTP, WWTP, ETP, STP, and ZLD projects
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, costing sheets, and bid documents covering process design, equipment selection, and civil scope
- Develop process flow descriptions, system sizing calculations, and technical write-ups
- Select appropriate treatment technologies (RO, UF, MBR, MBBR, ETP, STP, ZLD, softeners, filtration) based on client feed water quality and discharge requirements
- Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to build accurate cost estimates, material lists, and project timelines
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers for equipment and material quotations (pumps, blowers, membranes, filters, chemical dosing systems)
- Review tender documents for technical compliance, scope of work, and contractual terms
- Maintain a proposal library of standard process write-ups, equipment datasheets, and past submissions
- Track submitted proposals and provide technical clarifications to clients, consultants, and government bodies
- Prepare pre-qualification documents and company profile submissions for industrial, municipal, and government tenders
- Support the sales team with technical inputs during client presentations and negotiations
- Experience with government tenders, CPWD,



and GeM portal is an added advantage

Preferred Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
- 3-8 years of experience in proposal preparation or estimation for WTP, WWTP, ETP, STP, or ZLD projects
- Robust knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies (RO, UF, MBR, MBBR, ETP, STP, ZLD, softeners)
- Ability to interpret feed water analysis reports and size treatment systems accordingly
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, GA drawings, layout drawings, and hydraulic flow diagrams
- Understanding of pumps, blowers, membranes, instrumentation, and civil/structural interfaces
- Strong technical writing, documentation, and cost estimation skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with government tenders and GeM portal is an added advantage
- Familiarity with pollution control board norms and discharge standards is a plus

Proposal Engineer (Hipurity) Role & responsibilities:

Aquamech Engineering Corporation is looking for a Proposals Engineer to prepare technical and commercial proposals for our Hi-Purity Water Systems portfolio (Purified Water, WFI, HPW, RO-EDI, HSRO-EDI, and UPW systems)



serving pharmaceutical, biotech, and semiconductor clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Study RFQs and BOQs for Hi-Purity water and utility projects
- Prepare technical proposals for PW, WFI, HPW, RO-EDI, HSRO-EDI, and UPW systems
- Carry out equipment selection and system sizing compliant with ASME BPE, cGMP, and USFDA guidelines
- Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams for proposal inputs
- Liaise with Hi-Purity component vendors for pricing and technical data
- Review pharma regulatory compliance documentation and incorporate into proposals
- Maintain and update the proposal library and templates
- Provide clarifications to QA and validation teams during vendor qualification
- Prepare pre-qualification documents for pharma and biotech clients
- Support the sales team during technical discussions and vendor qualification

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in Hi-Purity or pharma utility proposal preparation
- Knowledge of PW, WFI, HPW, RO-EDI, UPW systems, and distribution loops
- Familiarity with ASME BPE, cGMP, USFDA, and ISPE guidelines
- Ability to interpret P&IDs;, GA drawings, and isometric drawings
- Understanding of stainless steel piping, orbital welding, and passivation
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with pharma/biotech procurement or QA processes is an advantage
