About the Role

Colstay Limited (Hive Hostels) is seeking a proactive and organised Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of student hostel properties. This role requires strong coordination between tenants, maintenance teams, and management to ensure a safe, comfortable, and high-quality living environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Tenant Relations

Manage tenant relationships and resolve concerns promptly

Screen prospective tenants and conduct background checks

Handle lease agreements, renewals, and terminations

Oversee rent collection and follow up on pending payments

Coordinate evictions and legal processes when required

1. Property Operations





Conduct regular inspections to maintain property standards Supervise housekeeping and maintenance staff

Coordinate repairs and ensure timely issue resolution

Maintain property budgets and operational records

Monitor market trends and rental benchmarks

1. Financial Management

Set, collect, and track rent and other applicable charges Maintain accurate financial records and reports
1. Legal & Compliance

Ensure compliance with local landlord–tenant laws Maintain proper documentation and records

Enforce company policies and property standards

Preferred Candidate Profile

2–4 years of experience in property management preferably from the hospitality background.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage teams and handle operational challenges

Highly organised, responsible, and capable of multitasking
