Position: Civil Project Manager
Location: Dholera / Project Site
Department: Projects & Construction
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from planning through completion. The role involves managing project execution, design coordination, procurement, contracts, budgeting, quality, safety, stakeholder communication, and project handover while ensuring timely delivery within approved cost and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership & Governance
- Lead overall project planning, execution, monitoring, and successful project delivery.
- Establish project objectives, milestones, and performance targets.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Chair project review meetings, client meetings, and progress review discussions.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven site team environment.
1. Quality, Safety & Site Operations
- Implement project execution plans, quality control procedures, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, walkthroughs, and mock-up approvals.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, site instructions, delay records, and progress reports.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly site activities and prepare management reports.
1. Design & Engineering Management
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, and engineering teams for design development and execution.
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical submissions.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), design clarifications, and variation proposals.
- Lead interdisciplinary design review meetings and value engineering initiatives.
- Ensure timely delivery of design documents and technical approvals.
1. Procurement & Contract Management
- Support preparation of tender documents and bidder evaluations.
- Conduct vendor negotiations and participate in contractor selection processes.
- Review and finalize Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders (WOs), Letters of Intent (LOIs), and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, statutory, insurance, labor law, and technical requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
1. Commercial & Cost Control
- Establish and monitor project budgets and cost controls.
- Track project expenditures and analyze cost variances.
- Manage variation orders, change requests, and cost implications.
- Review and certify contractor bills, payment applications, and final accounts.
- Support timely billing, certification, and collection processes.
1. Planning & Progress Monitoring
- Develop and maintain detailed Master Construction Schedules using CPM methodology.
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules.
- Identify delays, risks, and resource constraints and implement recovery plans.
- Coordinate project resources to achieve timely completion.
- Publish regular progress reports and schedule updates for management review.
1. Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify project risks related to construction, safety, statutory approvals, procurement, and project delivery.
- Develop and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, approvals, and company policies.
- Monitor adherence to quality, safety, environmental, and contractual requirements.
1. Project Handover & Closeout
- Prepare and execute project handover plans and closeout schedules.
- Ensure completion of punch-list items and final inspections.
- Compile technical documentation, warranties, as-built drawings, and project records.
- Finalize financial reconciliations, contractor settlements, and project closure documentation.
- Support smooth handover to clients and facility management teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, procurement, budgeting, and project controls.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Robust understanding of project planning, cost control, quality management, and statutory compliance.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
