Location: New Delhi, India

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office and 2 days WFH per week)

The ADAPT-TB project aims to improve the diagnosis of pediatric tuberculosis in India by evaluating the use of non-invasive, child-friendly specimens (stool, tongue swabs and urine) along with other routine samples across multiple indigenous molecular diagnostic platforms in the TB diagnostic landscape.

The project will be implemented across 11 tertiary care facilities across India in close collaboration with the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), and stakeholders at the national, state and district levels. The study will generate evidence on diagnostic accuracy and operational feasibility to inform national scale-up.

The Project Manager will provide overall project management support for the implementation of Project ADAPT-TB, including day-to-day coordination with participating sites, monitoring project progress, review of operational and data-related outputs, and reporting to project leadership and key stakeholders. The incumbent will lead coordination across all project sites, ensure achievement of project milestones and documentation requirements, and support effective implementation in accordance with donor requirements and organizational standards.

The specific activities will include but not be limited to:

Develop and maintain project workflows, monitoring tools and tracking systems

Coordinate implementation, monitoring and supervision of all project activities and assist in evaluation of project deliverables, outputs and outcomes

Lead coordination with tertiary institutes, state health authorities, manufacturers, and other stakeholders, and provide necessary implementation and technical support across project geographies

Facilitate HMSC and IEC approvals in coordination with the coordinating and participating sites under the project

Ensure validation and standardization of sample processing techniques are completed

Lead meetings and trainings,



and facilitate linkages with relevant departments and facilities supporting project implementation

Supervise, mentor and support the project team; follow up on progress of the project and provide regular updates to key stakeholders including the donor agency

Plan and allocate project resources appropriately to maximize output

Ensure adherence to project processes and timely reporting from sites

Track project milestones, deliverables, and documentation requirements across all participating sites and ensure timely completion.

Overall monitoring, technical support and coordination with sites, experts, and other stakeholders as and when required

Prepare regular progress reports, donor updates, presentations, and project briefs.

Support donor visits, monitoring missions, and external evaluations

Any other tasks assigned from time to time

Nature of Appointment

This is a full-time position with an initial contract term until 31 March 2027, renewable subject to performance and project needs.

- Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Management, or a related discipline; MBBS/BDS preferred.




- 7-10 years of progressive experience managing large-scale public health programs and multi-state projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams, including setting priorities, performance management, mentoring, and capacity building.
- Proven experience working with donor-funded programs, government stakeholders, implementing partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Robust project management skills, including planning, implementation, monitoring, budgeting, risk management, and donor reporting.
- Experience in TB, diagnostics, surveillance, laboratory systems, or broader health systems strengthening programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, coordination, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to effectively supervise and guide State Coordinators, technical staff, and project teams across multiple locations.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with virtual training, webinar, and collaboration platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foster teamwork and drive results in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Willingness to undertake frequent travel across project states and partner locations.
