Role Description The Interior Project Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram, responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end execution of interior fit-out and related civil works across commercial, retail, warehouse, office, and other infrastructure projects.
The role involves planning and monitoring project activities, coordinating with clients, consultants, designers, contractors, vendors, and site teams, and ensuring projects are delivered within defined timelines, budgets, quality standards, and specifications. The Interior Project Manager will oversee day-to-day site execution, material planning, procurement coordination, contractor management, quality checks, progress tracking, and project documentation.
The role also requires close coordination with civil, MEP, HVAC, electrical, fire, and other services to ensure smooth and integrated project execution. The candidate will be responsible for identifying site-level issues,
resolving execution challenges, monitoring project progress, and providing regular updates to senior management and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of interior fit-out and civil works from planning through project handover.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, milestones, manpower requirements, and execution plans.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, designers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Supervise and monitor site activities to ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project requirements.
- Manage interior works including partitions, flooring, ceilings, furniture, painting, carpentry, glazing, finishes, and related works.
- Coordinate with civil and MEP teams to ensure proper integration of all services.
- Monitor procurement, material requirements, deliveries, and site availability.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for manpower, materials, and work progress.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Review drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
- Identify and resolve site-level technical and execution issues.
- Track project costs, quantities, variations, and contractor measurements/billing.
- Monitor project progress against planned timelines and take corrective action where required.
- Maintain daily/weekly project reports, site documentation, and progress updates.
- Coordinate snagging, rectification, testing, and final handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and project requirements.
- Support multiple projects and manage priorities as per business requirements.
- Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and clients.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline .
- Proven experience in interior project management, interior fit-outs, or construction project execution .
- Strong experience in managing commercial, retail, warehouse, office, or similar interior projects.
- Good knowledge of interior execution, civil works, finishes, materials, and construction practices.
- Experience in contractor, subcontractor, vendor, and manpower management.
- Solid understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, interior, and MEP drawings .
- Experience in BOQ, quantity estimation, measurements, contractor billing, and material management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project tracking/reporting tools.
- Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects within tight timelines.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations as required.
- Prior experience with commercial, retail, warehouse, corporate office, or turnkey projects will be preferred.
