Role Summary The Data Center Project Manager is responsible for leading and governing multiple large/medium/small-scale data center projects across regions, ensuring alignment with business strategy, technical standards, schedule, cost, quality, and risk objectives. The role oversees portfolio-level execution including greenfield builds, expansions, modular deployments, and critical infrastructure programs (power, cooling, controls, and commissioning).

This position acts as the senior interface between customers, engineering, construction partners, OEMs, authorities, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Governance

Own end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of data center projects.

Establish program governance frameworks, stage-gates, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadence.

Drive standardized project management processes across multiple sites.

Lead executive reviews and steering committee meetings.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as primary escalation point for hyperscale / colocation clients.

Manage senior-level relationships with customers, consultants, EPC contractors, and OEMs.

Align technical scope, commercial terms, and delivery milestones.

Support contract negotiations and change management

Approvals, Design, Co-location partner finalisation, Execution, Testing & Commissioning and Handover

Schedule, Cost & Risk Control

Develop and manage integrated master schedules (IMS) across projects.

Oversee cost controls, forecasting, cash flow, and earned-value analysis.

Identify program-level risks and mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory approvals.

Technical Oversight (Power & Cooling Focus)

Provide governance on critical infrastructure systems:

o HV / MV substations (220 kV / 132 kV / 33 kV)

o UPS systems and battery energy storage o Diesel generators and fuel systems o Chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC, liquid cooling o BMS, EPMS,



DCIM, controls

Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute / TIA-942 / local codes.

Drive design standardization and modularization strategies.

Construction & Commissioning

Oversee construction sequencing and site readiness across locations.

Ensure integrated testing, IST, and Level 3-5 commissioning.

Drive Safety-First culture and zero-incident programs.

Ensure handover to operations teams.

Commercial & Vendor Management

Lead vendor strategy and framework agreements.

Drive procurement schedules for long-lead equipment.

Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution.

Support business development and proposals for current programs

Coordination with SCM team to technically validate and assist in vendor finalisation.

Team Leadership

Build capability in program controls, scheduling, and risk management.

Mentor high-performing delivery teams.

Key Performance Indicators

On-time delivery of phased MW capacity

Client satisfaction scores

Commissioning success and SLA achievement

Compliance with technical standards

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering.

MBA or PMP

Experience

12-20+ years in mission-critical infrastructure delivery.

5+ years managing multi-site data center programs.

Experience with hyperscale or colocation operators.

Strong exposure to HV power systems and cooling plants.

International project experience is an advantage.
