Role Overview The Project Estimation Executive / Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, BOQs, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, vendor comparisons, and quotations for construction and interior projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, construction materials, drawings, quantity calculations, costing, and vendor coordination

.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drawing & Scope Understanding

- Study architectural, interior, civil, and MEP drawings.
- Understand project scope, specifications, and execution requirements.
- Identify material and quantity requirements from drawings.
- Coordinate with Design and Project teams for scope and drawing clarifications.

2. BOQ & Quantity Take-Off

- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for construction and interior works.

- Perform accurate quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Use AutoCAD for drawing measurements and quantity calculations.
- Ensure quantities are properly checked and documented.

• Costing

- Calculate material quantities, labour requirements, wastage, and project costs.
- Prepare detailed project estimates and rate analysis.
- Prepare cost estimates for additional works, variations, and revised requirements.
- Prepare client/vendor quotations based on approved project scope.

4. Vendor &

• Subcontractor Coordination

- Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Compare quotations based on:
- Price
- Quantity
- Scope
- Specifications
- Quality
- Delivery terms
- Prepare comparative statements for management review.




- Support vendor/subcontractor negotiations to achieve competitive rates.

Rate Database

Management

- Maintain and regularly update material and labour rate databases.
- Track current market rates for construction and interior materials.
- Maintain previous project costing data for future estimation and benchmarking.

6. Measurement &

• Bill Verification

- Verify contractor/vendor measurements against approved drawings and actual site execution.
- Check contractor and vendor bills for quantity and rate accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with site/project teams for clarification.

7. Cost Monitoring

- Track estimated project cost versus actual project cost.
- Monitor variations and additional works.
- Identify significant cost deviations and report them to the Project Manager/Director.
- Support project teams in maintaining costs within approved budgets.

8. Documentation &

• Record Management

- Maintain accurate records of:
- BOQs
- Estimates
- Rate analysis
- Vendor quotations
- Comparative statements
- Revised estimates
- Measurements
- Project cost records
- Maintain proper revision and version control of drawings and estimates.

Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Interior Design, or related field.
- Candidates with strong relevant practical experience may also be considered.

Relevant Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in project estimation,



quantity surveying, construction, interior fit-out, or related fields.
- Experience in construction, interior, healthcare, retail, commercial, or multi-location projects will be preferred.

Mandatory Skills

- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Ability to read and understand:
- Architectural drawings
- Interior drawings
- Civil drawings
- MEP drawings
- Strong knowledge of construction/interior materials and execution methods.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Robust numerical and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of measurements, quantities, BOQs, and rate analysis.
- Vendor/subcontractor quotation comparison and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of BOQs and quantity take-offs.
- Timely completion of estimates and quotations.
- Accuracy of project cost estimates.
- Accuracy of contractor/vendor bill verification.
- Quality of vendor quotation comparisons.
- Timely identification of cost variations.
- Accuracy and regular updating of material/labour rate databases.
- Proper documentation and revision control.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and strong in numbers, AutoCAD, Excel, drawings, quantities, and project costing .

The candidate should be capable of independently handling the complete estimation process from:

Drawing Review → Quantity Take-Off → BOQ Preparation → Rate Analysis → Costing → Vendor Comparison → Quotation The candidate should also be comfortable coordinating with Design, Project, Procurement, Site, Vendors, and Subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely project estimates.

Compensation

Salary will be determined by HR based on the candidate's relevant experience, expertise, and suitability, in line with company policy.
