Job Summary

Hamdaz Technologies is seeking an experienced and analytical Project Cost Controller to monitor and control the financial performance of projects throughout their lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for project budgeting, expenditure tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, procurement cost monitoring, and project profitability reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain project cost control systems and procedures.
- Establish project budgets based on approved BOQs, quotations, contracts, and project plans.
- Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets.
- Track committed, incurred, and forecast costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare regular project cost reports for management and project managers.
- Identify and analyze cost variances and potential cost overruns.
- Provide early warnings regarding financial risks and budget deviations.
- Monitor procurement costs, purchase orders, subcontractor expenses, and material costs.
- Coordinate with project managers, procurement, finance, and technical teams.
- Review project-related invoices, purchase orders, quotations, and supporting documents.
- Track project revenue, expenses, margins, and overall profitability.
- Prepare monthly project forecasts and cost-to-complete estimates.
- Assist in preparing Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) reports.
- Maintain accurate project cost records and supporting documentation.
- Monitor changes in project scope and assess their potential cost impact.
- Support project managers in making cost-effective decisions.
- Prepare management dashboards and project financial summaries.




- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved project margins.
- Assist during internal and external audits when required.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in project cost control, project accounting, commercial management, or financial control.
- Experience with IT, ELV, telecom, engineering, infrastructure, or technology projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, costing, procurement, and financial reporting.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP, accounting, or project management software is an advantage.
- Ability to understand BOQs, quotations, purchase orders, contracts, and project financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
