About the Role

O.P. Kandoi & Company Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and technically strong Project Civil Engineer to lead and supervise civil construction activities at our project in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

The ideal candidate should have 12–15 years of hands-on experience in civil construction/project execution, with a minimum of 6–8 years of specific experience in pile foundation works. The candidate will be responsible for managing site execution, planning, quality, contractors, manpower, materials, billing, safety and overall project progress.

This is a senior site-based position requiring an engineer who can independently manage construction activities and coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, vendors and the management team.

Key Responsibilities

- Overall supervision and execution of civil construction works at the project site.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor day-to-day construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.
- Take complete responsibility for pile foundation works, including:
- Pile execution and construction methodology
- Bored cast-in-situ pile works
- Reinforcement cage fabrication and installation
- Boring, casing, concreting and related activities
- Pile integrity/testing coordination
- Pile load testing and documentation
- Monitoring pile depths, concrete quantities and execution records
- Coordinate with structural consultants, architects, project consultants and subcontractors.
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications and construction methodologies and ensure proper execution at site.




- Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with approved specifications and relevant standards.
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery and materials.
- Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly project progress.
- Identify delays, site issues and construction constraints and take corrective action in coordination with management.
- Coordinate procurement and timely availability of construction materials and equipment.
- Check measurements and coordinate preparation and verification of contractor bills.
- Monitor project quantities, material consumption and wastage.
- Maintain proper site records, DPRs, measurement books, checklists and quality documentation.
- Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures and site safety practices.
- Coordinate testing of concrete, steel, soil and other construction materials as required.
- Ensure construction is carried out strictly as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Assist management in project planning, budgeting, cost control and resource planning.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Coordinate with local authorities, consultants and other stakeholders whenever required.
- Troubleshoot technical and execution-related issues at site.
- Ensure timely completion of project milestones within the approved cost and quality parameters.

Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 12–15 years of relevant experience in civil construction/project execution.




- Minimum 6–8 years of hands-on experience in pile foundation works is mandatory.
- Strong experience in large-scale building/infrastructure/construction projects.
- Solid knowledge of RCC, structural works, foundations, concrete works, reinforcement and finishing works.
- Ability to independently manage a construction site and lead contractors and site teams.
- Good knowledge of construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, measurements and billing.
- Strong understanding of project planning, execution, quality control and site management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and MS Project/Primavera will be an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination and leadership skills.

- High-rise/building construction
- Commercial/hospitality/residential projects
- Deep foundation and piling projects
- Bored cast-in-situ piles
- RCC framed structures
- Projects involving difficult soil/site conditions
- Island/coastal or remote-location construction projects

Important Requirement

Candidates without substantial practical pile foundation experience will not be considered. The position requires an engineer who has personally handled and supervised pile foundation activities at site and is capable of independently managing execution teams and contractors.

Compensation

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience and project expertise.

Candidates should be willing to work full-time at the project site in Port Blair.

Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per month
