Production of elite material of Kappaphycus alvarezii and cultivation in open sea

Essential Qualification

B.Sc Botany/Marine biology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Oceanography/ Microbiology /Marine Science

Desirable Qualification

Experience on seaweed culture and cultivation

Monthly emolument

20,000/-per month + admissible HRA

Age limit

35 years (Relaxation in age as per CSIR norms)

Duration: These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI.

The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute,



Bhavnagar or different Laboratories/Institutes of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 06 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.

Interview Details: Interested candidates should appear before the Selection Committee for an interview test at CSIR-CSMCRI-Marine Algal Research Station, Mandapam camp-623519, Tamil Nadu on 12****th October 2026, Wednesday at 09.30 AM in the institute.
