Job Overview Royal Infraconstru Limited is looking for a Project Accountant for its Head Office in Kolkata.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate project accounts, reviewing daily ERP entries, GST and TDS compliance, monthly reconciliations, Balance Sheet preparation and project-wise / BOQ-wise costing.

This role requires a hands-on Accounts professional who is strong in accounting fundamentals, Excel and ERP-based project accounting.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts & ERP Entries

- Handle and review day-to-day accounting entries.
- Ensure accurate booking of purchase, expense, payment, receipt and journal entries.
- Verify correct ledger and project/job allocation.
- Check daily accounting entries in ERP for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify incorrect entries and ensure timely rectification.

TDS

- Have robust practical knowledge of TDS provisions and applicable sections.
- Ensure correct deduction of TDS under the appropriate section and rate.
- Verify TDS applicability on contractors, vendors, professionals and other payments.
- Reconcile TDS ledgers with books of accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in TDS return preparation and related compliance.

GST





- Have strong working knowledge of GST rates, applicability and GST accounting.
- Verify correct GST input and output entries.
- Check applicable GST rates on transactions.
- Review Input Tax Credit accounting and GST-related ledger entries.
- Identify and correct incorrect GST treatment.
- Assist in GST reconciliation and return-related data preparation.

Monthly Balance Sheet

- Prepare / assist in preparation of the Balance Sheet on a monthly basis.
- Review ledger balances before monthly closing.
- Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations.
- Check provisions, advances, outstanding balances and project-related accounts.
- Ensure accuracy of monthly financial data.

Account Reconciliation

- Perform monthly Vendor Ledger Reconciliation.
- Perform TDS Ledger Reconciliation.
- Reconcile project advances and other control accounts.
- Identify differences and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate with project/site teams and internal departments for reconciliation.

Project Costing

- Review daily project-related entries in ERP.
- Ensure proper allocation of expenses to the correct project, job and cost head.
- Prepare monthly project-wise costing.
- Prepare and monitor BOQ-wise costing.
- Compare actual project costs with budgets / BOQ values.
- Identify unusual cost movements, incorrect allocations or missing entries.
- Coordinate with project, commercial, stores and purchase teams for accurate project costing.

Excel & MIS

- Use MS Excel extensively for Accounts, costing, reconciliations and MIS.
- Prepare reports using formulas and data analysis tools.
- Work comfortably with large accounting datasets.
- Prepare project-wise and management reports as required.

Candidates Should Be Comfortable With VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP | Pivot Tables | SUMIF / SUMIFS | IF Functions | Reconciliation | Data Filtering | Basic MIS Reporting Candidate Requirements





- 3-6 years of relevant Accounts experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting entries and ledger scrutiny.
- Practical knowledge of TDS sections and TDS deduction.
- Good knowledge of GST rates, applicability and input/output GST.
- Experience in vendor and TDS ledger reconciliation.
- Experience in monthly Balance Sheet preparation.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience using ERP / accounting software.
- Positive understanding of project/job-wise costing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Experience Candidates from Construction, Infrastructure, EPC, Engineering, Manufacturing or other project-based companies will be preferred. Experience in project accounting, BOQ-wise costing and handling multiple project accounts from Head Office will be an advantage.
