Role & responsibilities
1. Preparation of the fund budget for the project based on the AOP. The recommendation of the Project Manager shall be transmitted to the appropriate approving authority well in advance for the smooth functioning of the project.
2. Maintaining books of accounts at the project level, including cash and bank payment voucher booking, booking of subcontractors' and suppliers' bills, and all other expenses after due verification.
3. Reconciliation of bank accounts, project imprest accounts, vendor accounts, and debtor accounts. After reconciliation, ensure timely settlement of pending entries in the concerned ledgers and rectification of errors, if any, on a periodic basis.
4. Verification of all expenses for authenticity and ensuring they are in line with the approved Annual Operating Plan (AOP) or monthly/yearly budgets.
5. Ensuring timely payment of monthly bills for electricity, telephone, water, etc., to avoid late payment fees and penalties.
6. To ensure to provide details to the concerned at HO to file monthly / periodically returns for GST and other Tax Authorities.
7. Physical verification of Closing Stocks at all stores location on every alternate month and on each quarter.

9. Analysis of budgeted cost versus actual cost on a weekly basis and raising alerts when actual expenditure reaches 75% of the budgeted amount, along with reasons for the variance.
10. Supporting internal and statutory auditors during site audits and assisting the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with audit observations and queries.
11. Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly MIS reports and timely submission to the concerned authorities at the Head Office for review. Assisting the Project Manager in responding to and complying with queries raised.
Preferred candidate profile
1. B.Com/M.Com or equivalent qualification in Finance/Accounts.
2. 5-10 years of experience in project accounting, budgeting, MIS, and statutory compliance, preferably in the EPC, infrastructure, construction, or manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in ERP systems and MS Excel.
4. Solid analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
5. Knowledge of GST, TDS, and audit processes.
6. Open to work and relocate across PAN India locations as per business requirements.
